Adrenal Insufficiency United will be adding content to this page as we receive it.  If you have information from your state, city or county please contact us.

Be sure to review the protocols for your  state or county.  It’s important to understand them as not all are the same.  Some of the different types you’ll see include:

  • State wide guidelines that still must be adopted on a city by city or county by county basis.
  • Instructions on how you can obtain an individual protocol.
  • Provisions to allow the injection of patient carried meds
  • Utilizing Solu-Medrol® vs Solu-Cortef®
  • Specifies adults or children only
  • Specifies a certain condition(s) only

We recommend printing off the protocol and visiting your local EMS station for clarification.  In some cases the protocol may have been updated or may need to be updated.  If you don’t see anything listed for your State then there is some work to do. Please let us know if either of these situations apply and we will be happy to assist you.
