AIU celebrates the states that have passed emergency protocols to treat patients in adrenal crisis.
We know from emergency physicians and first responders that having these protocols in place helps them save lives. Adding hospitals and school districts to this list is one of our goals too. If your state or county has an EMS, ER or School protocol and is not on our list please let us know!
Our thanks to all organizations and the committed individuals who continue to advocate for the protocols that will keep all our loved ones with adrenal insufficiency safe. We need the work of many to accomplish this goal!
AIU is working with Danny’s Dose. We believe their campaign to enable EMS to administer patient carried medications has the best chance of being adopted Nationwide.
You can help by visiting their website and contacting them to see if they are working in your State.
NOTE: BE SURE YOU HAVE DOCTORS ORDERS AND YOUR MEDICATION PACKAGING THAT INCLUDES THE PHARMACIST LABEL.
